Most well known for his childhood portrayal of Chris Partridge on the popular television series The Partridge Family, he also appeared in episodes of The Brady Bunch and Family Affair.
When he was only nine years old, he contributed voice acting work to a short film titled How We Feel About Sound.
After ending his childhood acting career, he became a Northern California-based race car driver.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he is the stepson of character actor Whit Bissell. In addition, he is a direct descendant of acclaimed author Charles Dickens.
In 1971, he replaced Jeremy Gelbwaks in the role of Chris Partridge.
Brian A. Forster (born April 14, 1960) is an American former child actor. He is best known as the second actor to play the role of Chris Partridge in the television series The Partridge Family.
Forster is the son of Jennifer Raine and actor Peter Forster and, through his mother, is a great-great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens. He is also the stepson of actor Whit Bissell and stepgrandson of actor Alan Napier, who portrayed Alfred the Butler in the Batman television series (1966–1968).
Forster joined The Partridge Family in 1971, replacing Jeremy Gelbwaks, and continued until the show ended in 1974. Chris Partridge was the drummer of the fictional family band. As of 2002/2003, Forster was a race car driver in Northern California, and continued to act in community theater there.
