One of four members of the pop/rock band A Summer High, which debuted the EP Pretty Little Liar in July of 2017. The band’s debut single, released in December of 2016, was called “I Need You Here.”
He already had band experience before he and fellow band member Luke Oxendale realized their musical ideas matched up. James was still in Minnesota when A Summer High shared the idea of their band online.
He and A Summer High busked in the parking lots of the venues where 5 Seconds of Summer were touring to help grow their own name.

James Anthony Pecchia was born in Western Hospital Toronto,8 August 1955 Ontario. Parents Corinna Madott and Aurelio Pecchia. He grew up in Etobicoke (Renforth Dr)and went to school at Sir Adam Beck, Eatonville, Bloordale, Silverthorne and Burnhamthorpe Collegiate. He started playing the guitar at age nine. Moved to cambridge in 1989 and then Burlington in 2004. James Anthony (born James Anthony Pecchia, 1955,) is a Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter and music producer.
In 1971 at 16 James joined Jay Douglas and the Cougars TCB and then in 1974 Edward Bear ,Ebony Jam and various Toronto bands .In 1978 had one Album on RCA with Mondo Combo. The 80s James played country sessions, TV and radio shows. As part of the Lulu’s House Band in the 1990s in Kitchener, Ontario, Anthony performed with over 150 touring artists, including Sam Moore of Sam & Dave, Denny Doherty of The Mamas & the Papas, Gary U.S. Bonds, and The Platters. Co-wrote “Here I Am” for the Denny Doherty Documentary and for many Films and Jingles.
He went on the road at 17 in 1972 with The Cougars TCB, one of the first Reggae bands in Canada led by Jay Douglas.
He hosted an award winning Roots musical variety show “The Midnight Hour” on Rogers cable in the 1990s, and “James Anthony Live” on Cogeco Cable in 2011–2013.
James was inducted into Blues Hall Of Fame USA on 22 September 2013 in Detroit.
