Canadian country star who has become known for his popular singles “Country Side,” “Spotlight,” and “Friends of Mine,” amongst others. He also won a Canadian Country Music Award in 2012 for Single of the Year for his song “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore.”

He first became known in 2002 after winning the CMT talent search Project Discovery. He followed in 2003 with the single “That’s What I Do.”

In 2007, he made an appearance in the short film This is a Story About Ted and Alice.

He and his wife Amy have four children.

In 2014, he released the single “Friends of Mine,” which featured a cast of popular artists: Gord Bamford, Chad Brownlee, Deric Ruttan, and Jason McCoy.

Jason Blaine (born April 19, 1980) is a Canadian country music singer/songwriter from Pembroke, Ontario. Jason is a multiple Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA), SOCAN & Country Music Association of Ontario Award winner with over 20 Canadian country radio hits. Twelve of those went on to become Nielsen BDS Top 10 singles on the Canadian country chart including “Country Side”, “Friends of Mine”, and the biographical “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore”.

Jason Blaine burst onto the scene in a big way in 2007 with his first #1 hit single “Rock In My Boot” which led to multiple CCMA nominations and paved the way for a string of hit singles and major festival appearances across the country. Perhaps the biggest game changer came in 2012 when he released the biographical “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore”, which was written for his grandfather. The song was one of his biggest hits connecting with fans of all generations and eventually went on to win CCMA Single of the Year that same year. In between releasing hit songs and co-headling tours with Tebey, Chad Brownlee and Deric Ruttan, Blaine also found time to start up his annual Jason Blaine Celebrity Charity Golf Classic. Over the past five years, fellow artists and hockey legends ranging from Dallas Smith, Tim Hicks, and Gord Bamford, to Doug Gilmour and Bryan Murray have all contributed to helping raise over $500,000 for various hometown charities in Pembroke.
