New Age author and therapist known for preaching the use of guardian angels as spiritual healing through her program Angel Therapy. The practice has evolved into self-help books, a regular radio show on Hay House Radio, and branched off into her self-titled YouTube channel, which has earned over 1.9 million views.
She grew up reporting that she had clairvoyant abilities, conversing with spirits even as a child. In adulthood, she was working as a psychotherapist with specialization in eating disorders, when, after being saved from an armed carjacking, she turned to researching and teaching about divine intervention.
She earned a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate in counseling psychology and spent her years prior to Angel Therapy publishing books about child custody and eating disorders.
Her mother was a Christian spiritual healer and her father a self-employed writer. She married Larry Schenk and the pair had two sons named Grant and Charles, however, she and Schenk later divorced. She has since married and divorced three times to three separate other men.
