Kenichi Hayakawa (早川賢一 , born 5 April 1986) is a retired male Japanese badminton player. He has been a runner-up of the All England three times (2013, 2014 and 2016) along with his partner, Hiroyuki Endo. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games.
The BWF Superseries, launched on 14 December 2006 and implemented in 2007, is a series of elite badminton tournaments, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). BWF Superseries has two level such as Superseries and Superseries Premier. A season of Superseries features twelve tournaments around the world, which introduced since 2011, with successful players invited to the Superseries Finals held at the year end.
The BWF Grand Prix has two level such as Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold. It is a series of badminton tournaments, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) since 2007.
Hayakawa won the first point in the 2014 Thomas Cup finals with Hiroyuki Endo beating 2004 World Junior Champion Tan Boon Heong and Hoon Thien How and lead the momentum for the Japanese team to claim the Thomas Cup for the first time, being the fourth nation to win Thomas cup after Indonesia, China and Malaysia. He retired in November 2016 and currently is the coach for Japanese B national team.
