Mexican singer who became one of the top balladeers in the Spanish-speaking world in the 80’s with hits like “Quiero Dormir Cansado,” “Todo Se Derrumbó Dentro De Mí” and “Toda La Vida.” In the decades since, he has since maintained his status as a legend in the genre, embarking on sold-out tours across Latin America.
He grew up in Chosica, Peru and attended el Colegio Santa Rosa. His first album, 10 Razones Para Cantar, was released in 1976.
His touring band has included a number of American musicians, including Dick Smith, also known for his work with bands like Air Supply and Earth, Wind & Fire.
His father was famed bullfighter Raúl Acha, also known as “Rovira.” His son is Latin Grammy-winning singer Alexander Acha.
His cover of Hernaldo Zuniga‘s “Insoportablemente Bella” became a hit in 1980.

His fourth and most successful album to date, Íntimamente (Intimately), was written by the famous Spaniard ballad composer Manuel Alejandro in collaboration with Ana Magdalena.
