Kaleigh Cronin (born April 12, 1989) is an American actress and singer, best known for appearing on the third and fourth seasons of the 1999 revival of the PBS Kids television show ZOOM and her work on Broadway.
In 2001–2002, Cronin joined the cast of the 1999 Emmy nominated of the PBS Kids television show ZOOM. She appeared on the series’ third and fourth seasons as a regular. She returned in 2003 for the Zoom: America’s Kids Remember special reflecting on the September 11 Attacks.
Following her departure from Zoom, Cronin went on to continue performing in Community and Regional shows in Manchester, NH. In 2005, she sang with a local band called ‘S’ who put out a CD entitled stonewall.ephinany. Cronin graduated from Manchester Central High School in Manchester, NH in 2007 before graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011 with a BFA in Musical Theatre.
From July 9–14, 2019, Cronin returned to Broadway At Music Circus at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento, California once again. This time, she starred as “Janet Van de Graff” in their production of The Drowsy Chaperone earning rave reviews.
One month after her graduation from Carnegie Mellon, Cronin joined the cast of the second National Tour of the Tony winning Jersey Boys as “Lorraine & Others”. She continued with the show for 2 1/2 years before departing in late 2013.
In 2014, Cronin made her Broadway Debut in the returning engagement of the 1998 Tony Award-winning Roundabout Theatre Company production of Cabaret at Studio 54 co-starring opposite Tony winner Alan Cumming reprising his role as “The Emcee”. She also understudied the female lead role of “Sally Bowles” as well as the featured role of “Fraulein Kost”. The production itself began preview performances on March 21, 2014, opened on April 24th, 2014, and ran for a limited engagement until March 29, 2015.
In 2015, Cronin jumped straight into the readings, workshops, and eventual world premiere of the musical adaptation of A Bronx Tale. She appeared in the Ensemble with her main character named “Marie”. In addition, she also understudied the role of “Rosina”. The world premiere of A Bronx Tale was held at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse from February 4, 2016 through March 6, 2016. The response of the world premiere engagement was well received by audiences and critics everywhere before officially moving to Broadway’s Longacre Theatre a few months later. Broadway Previews began November 3, 2016 and opened on December 1st, 2016. Cronin departed the production on February 11, 2018.
From July 26-31st, 2016, Cronin reprised her portrayal of “Sally Bowles” in the Broadway at Music Center’s presentation of Cabaret at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento, California earning rave reviews.
Cronin also appeared in the jukebox musical Summer: The Donna Summer Musical at Broadway’s Lunt Fontanne Theatre. Previews began on March 28, 2018 and Opening Night was April 23, 2018. She continued to perform with the show through its closing on Broadway on December 30, 2018.
Currently, Cronin is appearing in the Ensemble of the musical adaptation of the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire. The production had its world premiere at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, Washington. Previews began on November 26, 2019, it officially opened on December 13, 2019, and run through January 4, 2020. The show’s Broadway debut would be delayed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
